And it only applies to applications for a residence permit, not for applications for a residence card. Skaanebo i applied f...

Re: Health Insurance is required by Migrationsvedket
If you don't intend to remain in Sweden, there is no point in applying under Swedish laws. The benefits of applying under Swedish laws is that you may either obtain a permanent residence permit right away or after 2 years in Sweden. But it won't be of any use if you don't intend to remain in Sweden...

I will not advise you to leave the Schengen area once your visa has expired. In fact, you might even get into trouble if you try to travel around the Schengen area on an expired visa. You can apply at the Migration Board the same day you arrive to Sweden. so what i haven't got in my mind is i can a...

Re: Health Insurance is required by Migrationsvedket
You do not need to have a legal stay in Sweden in order to hand in an application for a residence card, so your visa is actually irrelevant. As long as you have a valid visa, though, it makes life easier if you wish to travel around the Schengen area. Once it has expired, you cannot leave and then ...

Re: Health Insurance is required by Migrationsvedket
It can take from anywhere between 2 and 8 weeks depending on the work load and summer holidays. Being registered at the people's registry has no bearing whatsoever on your legal status in the country, so it has nothing to do with your visa expiring. What makes your stay legal is if you apply for a ...

You can work in Sweden if you fulfill the requirements of being the spouse of an EU citizen who has used his or her right of free movement within the EU to move to Sweden and handed in an application for a Swedish residence card at the Immigration board. If you have done that, you can also go to th...

Re: Health Insurance is required by Migrationsvedket
If you get rejected, you can simply hand in a new application. And with more time having passed, you're more likely to fulfill the requirements then. Of course it's imperative you actually document your stay in Sweden. The lack of this is the cause of the most rejections as the Danish authorities s...
